The supporting system is the key component of a rotary kiln. The invalidation of it will bring interruption to the whole production line, and this invalidation will cause a great productive loss. So the one of the keys to advance benefit of the enterprise is to find the cause of invalidation, optimize its configuration and extend its life-span.The main invalidation of the supporting system is the losing-solid and fatigue crack of tire and roller, the fatigue break of the axis of roller, which leads to sorts of accidents related to mechanical failures and safety happen.To the problem, aim at studying the force and contact of the body and the tire, the tire and the roller, the roller and the axis, the studying of the contact-angle and distribution of the contact force between the tire and the body, and the contact force distribution between the tire and the roller and the stress and deformation of the tire have been taken deeply. As well as axis deformation, axis stress, and fit tolerance between axis and roller are all studied. Using the software of ANSYS, the contact models between the tire and the body, the tire and the roller, the roller and the axis are studied. The study shows: The most optimized thickness of the body and the gap between body and tire are attained. The angle of contact between the tire and the body is found, and the life of the wear between the body and the tire is figured out. The stress in the contact region between the tire and roller is mastered. The cause of invalidation of the tire face is found and the solution is brought forward. For the box tire, it can increase the intension and decrease the weight but the largest stress of it is on the auxiliary hole and the cross-block. The advantage and disadvantage of each kind of tires are compared. The micro-vibration wear in the interference fitting face between the roller and the axis is studied, and the cause of invalidation of the axis is attained and the solution is put forward. The results are compared with each fit tolerance and the best proper fit tolerance can be recommended.The track records of manufacture prove that the Finite Element Analyze (FEA) models are right, the results are worth believing, and the data are credibility. The result of the dissertation can give the reference forthe design of the supporting system and give guidance for the safety maintenance of the rotary kiln.
