Based On The The Mapobjects Shaanxi Province Highway Traffic Information Service System Development And Research

The highways are the aortas of the nation for economy development, so the grade, the quantity and the information degree of the highways represent the nation development level. In recent years, along with the fast development of the nation economy and with national foundation facilities' strong development, highways are rapidly developing, the efficient management of the highways are becoming more and more important, but the traditional manual methods don't meet the need for fast development of highway transportation all over the country, road information management system(RIMS),in which traditionally OA along with geographic information system( GIS) is integrated, can gather, classify and manage the dispersion of file, map and of all kinds of road information data establish a database , which managing a series of geographic data and property data and so the managers can fast and accurately search the messages, which can be text or charts, maps, etc. The methods analyzing the data and the forecast can also be available .All the result message can be displayed and printed out. The article research is developed on a project of Shaan'xi province's survey bureau, studied and developed the Shaan'xi province's roads information and service system, based on ArcGIS,using the method of VB+MO. The research of the paper is mainly following these aspect: investigating enough with the application and developing of the component technology and component GIS. Studying the current domestic or overseas component GIS, determining the developing method and tools according the project's circumstance. According to the thought of the software engineering, along with the demand of the project, carrying through the requirement analysis, total design and detail design of the system and putting system into practice etc. using general visual computer language Visual Basic, realize to the main functions of the system, with common used MapObjects component developing. Test the system and summarizing.
