Research And Implementation Of Road Maintenance Management Gis Based On Mapobjects

Road, one of the basic traffic facilities, directly concerns the development of national economics. Since the Reforming and Opening-up, with the rapid development of road construction of our country, it brings a lot of data of road network and appurtenant works, and it is very difficult to manage these data by the traditional method, which has made the manage level of road maintenance unable to meet the need of development of the road transportation construction management. So it is necessary to lead Geographical Information System (GIS) into the road maintenance and management, making use of the technique of GIS to realize the combination of sketch and the data, and the mode of viewing data, a kind of new decision-making support method is provided, which will enhance greatly modernization level that road management, and offer better means for realizing management in computer.During 40 years' research and practice, Pavement Management System (PMS) and Bridge Management System (BMS) have become the important tools of analysis and management which are used by the office of road maintenance and management. At present, it is necessary to combine GIS with PMS and BMS, and it is a important subject of road management.After systemically analyzing the domestic and international road management of GIS, this paper adopts the Object Oriented Programming method, ActiveX (MapObjects component) ,VC++ and Microsoft Access for application developing. Here is the groundwork of this paper:(1) After analyzed the development history, current situation of application and existing problems of the domestic and international road management GIS, this paper points out that it is meaningful to apply GIS technique to road maintenance and management. The Information System crosses and influences one another and will finally integrate into a unitary system of intelligent management high working efficiency and powerful function in this digitalization, information era.
