The ship movement visual system is specially designed for Chinese 1000m sea mining experiment. It is an enormous and complicated project, which costs highly. Meanwhile, the environment that the experiment will face is also very complicated. The ship movement can't be foreseed because of the outer strengths, which is formed by the integration of the wind, sea wave and other sub-system. To make sure sea mining experiment can move smoothly, we have to analyze some movement datum firstly and then provide the ship movement condition to operator to make them know how to do at the next step. We called this system as 1000m sea mining experiment ship movement visual system.This system applied kinds of visual imitation knowledge as follows,1. According to relevant conditions of 1000m sea mining experiment, The system applied relevant knowledges to establish ship transmitting function of traverse movement.2. According to 1:1, The system established physical model on basis of actual size of ship with 3ds MAX. in which the system adopted NURBS on ship body curve designing.3. The system established simulated wave with OpenGL.4. The system adopted three layers data pool structure.5. The system realized data communication between client and server on basis of TCP/IP Protocol.6. The system gave specific application of visual simulation system and kinds of matrix exchange calculation involved in OpenGL during ship movements visual process.7. Editing client interface on basis of Delphi and OpenGL.8. Eventually, the experiment verified the system's accuratedesigning method and its feasibility.
