Industrial Boilers, Real-time Intelligent Process Control System

This paper mainly consists of the following aspects:First of all, the paper analyses several critical aspects (include of temperature, pressure and water level etc.) that need to be controlled in practical running of boiler, each part includes technological process, requirement and main disturbance, based on the analysis the control system is designed.Then, the traditional PID control algorithms are improved in this paper. The major dynamics of a boiler include nonlinearities, nonminimum phase behavior, instabilities, time delays, and load disturbances. Dynamic experiment on boiler has been made and boiler combustion system model has been expressed in linguistic form. Linear control rules are used to control the system boiler system. The fuzzy logic controller has been tested in the real plant and results obtained are shown.The whole control system is simulated in lab, and some important control loops are designed in the test equipment. The control software is compiled with C++Builder 6 which developed by Borland. During the development process, modular design is introduced, and some techniques are adopted to ensure the realtime processing.The Fuzzy-PID control algorithm is used in intelligent control system, which make the algorithm more complex, so it is written in Matlab. In practical application, through using pipe technology, Matlab program can be used in application system, which promotes system flexibility. By using this technology in fuzzy controlling of boiler water level adjusting, good efficiency has been gained in data collecting and system reaction, and fuzzy control system also has satisfied result. It succeeds in fact application.
