Due to the drastic competition in steel market, many enterprises have tried to improve the level of production and management using information technologies in order to gain upper hand in competition. Computer Integrated Manufacturing System (CIMS) can realize the information and integration of the process of enterprise's production management to make enterprise to be an integrated whole system, which combines information technologies and advanced theory of production management. As an important element of CIMS, the production scheduling system is to make production plan, arrange production and deal with all kinds of workshops' production abnormities, which ensure to make different workshops work efficiently in phase.Aiming at production scheduling system in the environment of CIMS, some researches on the production scheduling system of steel enterprises are made in the thesis as follows:1) Integration relationships between production scheduling system and other subsystems of steel enterprise CIMS are analyzed through research on steel enterprise CIMS and its architecture.2) Based on research of production flow and production characteristics of steel enterprise, the system model of integrated production scheduling in steel enterprise is presented, at the same time, how to make master planning, material requirements planning, production ability balance and scheduling in the system model is analyzed detailedly.3) To realize integrated production scheduling, a rule-based grading scheduling model and its algorithm are proposed.4) Integrating production characteristics of Dalian Steel Corporation with the actual requirement of the second construct phase of DG-CIMS, the integrated production scheduling system is developed based on the above production scheduling system model.To make the production of enterprise run in phase and run effectively, the enterprise needs an exact, effective, timely production scheduling. The production scheduling system aimed at steel enterprise is an important part of CIMS of steel enterprise, which is a bridge between upper management and lower production. The production scheduling system presented in the thesis realizes the global optimization of planning and scheduling to arrives at the goal of shortening the product cycle, quickening the capital circulation, reducing cost and obtaining optimal economic benefits.
