Keeping pace with the latest progress in the distributed interactive simulation technology, this thesis puts forward a novel blueprint of HLA-compliant underwater warfare simulation open applied architecture. Such pivotal techniques as object-oriented modeling, FOM/SOM design, federation synchronization, data collection and analysis and federate software framework design are investigated. Consequently an underwater warfare distributed interactive simulation synthesized experimental environment is set up, under which several typical counterwork simulation tests are carried out. This research is processed in combination with the engineering project: "Underwater Warfare Simulation System". The main contributions are as follows:1. Above all a novel blueprint of HLA-compliant reconfigurable underwater warfare simulation open applied architecture is proposed. Furthermore the underwater warfare simulation reference FOM is developed to meet reconfigurable requirements of underwater simulation systems. In addition, federation synchronization, data collection&analysis and statistical simulation are effectively solved.2. One kind of federate software applied framework based on software reusability is established, providing a friendly GUI to automatically set time management strategy and publication/subscription declaration, and effectively implementing consistent interface between RTI and simulation models.3. The Underwater Warfare Distributed Interactive Simulation System is constructed by means of pRTI2.0. The system can offer statistical simulation for underwater warfare operational efficiency evaluation.4. Application research is carried out under the underwater simulation testbed. Firstly, different federations are constructed by reconfiguring simulation federate components according to special aims of simulation tests. Moreover Simulation results and performance are analyzed.The experimental results indicate that this system features friendly GUI, reusable models and competence for real-time simulation and statistical simulation. The above research fruits have been applied in performance evaluation, demonstration and designof underwater weapon systems, offering an effective testbed for underwater warfare simulation.
