The auto hot-water heater is a equipment for warming-up the engine and warming the cab. With the development of auto market and improvement of people live level, in China, the market of auto hot-water heater is becoming large.It is important for manufacture of the hot-water heater to test it's performance. But the conventional test system can't be fit for the increase of hot-water heater output. So base on having developed the hot-water heater-controller, we develop the auto hot-water heater virtual test system.Firstly, in this paper, we introduce the concept and principle of hot-water heaters. And through the analysis of the conventional hot-water heater test system, we show it's disadvantage. Secondly, we introduce the characteristic of Virtual Instrument. And through comparing Virtual Instrument with conventional instrument, we decide to use Virtual Instrument technique to design new hot-water heater test system. And then, second chapter of my paper show the design of test system.The conventional test system use special instruments to test the heater parameter, so not only efficiency of conventional test system is low, but also it can't analysis the measure data. In my design, we use sensors to measure heater parameter, and the computer use DAQ card to gather the measure signals, then through analysis these signals in computer, we can get the result of heater parameter test. The hot-water heater chooses water as heating medium, so it is essential for hot-water heater to test the water parameters, such as water temperature, volume...etc. In China, there are strict standards for auto waste gas, so it's necessary to test waste gas parameters. In the third chapter of this paper, we introduce the test principle and hardware design of these parameter. Because the test system suffers many jams, design of anti-jammingis important for test system. The forth chapter of my paper describes the design of anti-jamming.The hot-water heater include many load apparatuses. It's dangerous for heater that these apparatuses conk out, so it becomes an important content to examine malfunctions of these apparatuses. Conventional test system can't exactly examine malfunctions of these apparatuses. So in the fifth chapter, we discuss how to use serial communication between computer and heater controller to realize the examination of malfunctions.In the last chapter, we give the front panel design of this virtual test system, and introduced the software design of the system main function.The experiment express that contrast the conventional test system, this system raises efficiency and accuracies of the hot-water heater test-system, has good applied result.
