In the recent ten years, millimeter wave technologies have made great progress and applications of millimeter wave radar have reached a new stage. At the moment, the simulation of the radar guided missiles in china is at centimeter frequency stage, so that the research about millimeter wave technologies turns to be the key points. The thesis aims to use a five-axis turning platform to research the possibility of realizing millimeter wave hardware-in-the-loop simulation in the compressed field. In this thesis, our chief research is about the target simulator. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1. Giving a summarization of the development of millimeter wave and simulation technologies around the world.2. According to the specialty of simulation of the radar missilery with single target, a scheme about the millimeter wave hardware-in-the-loop simulation is given, which contains the purpose, the reasons, and the composition of the system.3. Giving a detailed prove and introduction in terms of the development of turning platform, including the selecting of target simulator and a brief introduction of compressed field technologies.4. Chiefly, we discuss about the device-depended error introduced by hardware-in-the-loop simulation and give a summary about the technologies to decrease the error5. Based on the chapter of system simulation error analysis, and considering about the specialty of paraboloid antenna, we formed an error model, including model of phase changing that caused by surface precision and fixing errors of feedback source.6. The theories of radar seeker angle tracking and radar seeker angle measuring are explained. And the influence on the system caused by the angle noise of the simulation device is analyzed through simulation examples. This paper could be a valuable reference on the research of millimeter wave hardware-in-the-loop simulation, and may be helpful to those who want to study the design and manufacture of the parabolic reflector.
