Polymer-cement waterproof coating is one of the developing directions of water-borne coatings, and it's the embodiment of environmental concern. Although the development of polymer-cement waterproof coating no less than 20 years, because of many advantages such as simple application process, convenience to repair, excellent performances, it is a real green and environment protective waterproof coating and recommended by Ministry of Construction P.R.China.Acrylate emulsion has an excellent weathering performance, acid and alkali resistance itself. This paper studied the Acrylate emulsion firstly. Emulsification is the mainly reason to influence on the reaction, the influences of emulsifiers such as the concentration of emulsifies, the ratio of anionic to nonionic emulsifier on the polymerization stability were researched;The influences of concentration and feeding method of initiators on the reaction stability and the mechanical properties of coating film of acrylate polymerization stability were researched;The influences of reaction temperature, stirring speed and pH buffer agent on the polymerization stability and pH regulator on the storage stability of Acrylate emulsions were also researched.It is valid means to increases polymer chain and cement function that function monomer was copolymerization with acrylate, the influences of concentration of function monomer on the stability of the latex, the water absorption of polymer-cement coating film and the state of coating film were discussed, and the optimal dosages of function monomer have been developed. The experiment technology was pre-emulsification technology and semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerization, the influences of dosages of seed on viscosity and diameters and size distributions of acrylate emulsions were discussed.Poymer-cement waterproof coating was prepared by liquid material (polymer emulsion and additive) and powder material (cement, Inorganic Filler and additive). This paper discussed the influences of different cement, Inorganic Filler and the defoaming agent on the tensile strength and elongation at break of coating film;The influence of various of polymer-cement ratio (mass ratio of pure polymer to cement) and coating times on the tensile strength and elongation at break of coating film were researched;This paper also discussed the water Resistant Performance, watertightnessand the adhesion strength of wet subbase of coating film. The result shows that the tensile strength and elongation at break of coating at low polymer-cement ratio were better than standard JC/T 894-2001 at high polymer-cement ratio. The tensile strength of coating was 2.0MPa and the elongation at break 250% at polymer-cement of 0.9 , which achieved requirement of the Contract.
