Based on the silty soil which is get from 4 sections on ZiJing Expressway, the author primarily used the experiments in room and the theory analysis to get the compaction method and the stabilization of the silty soil. All of the results can be used when the way is constructing. In order to name the soil and find the basic physical and technical parameters, we do the tests in the laboratory firstly. Then, we made deep and systematic study on the material's vibrating compaction principle. Based on the transition of work and energy, we established the mathematical model and worked out the differences of the static compaction and the vibrating compaction; Based on the long-term stability of the roadbed, we compare the CBR value of the two methods and put forwards the compaction considering the CBR value of the silty soil. Finally, based on the analysis of the stabilization method of soil used for sub-base and fully laboratory test, this paper put forwards the stabilization of the silty soil and the principles of the stabilization.
