The traffic jam is a ubiquitous phenomena in China. And the chief reason of this phenomena is that the basic establishment of traffic trails the increase of traffic requirement. So the chief measure of solving this question is developing public traffic energetically. Through the analysis of the public system in China,we can see such a universal question, which is the high rate of bus transfer. On the sides, we researched the mind of bus passenger, and the result shows what they consider firstly is the least transfer times when they take the bus, secondly is the least time. In view of this status, in order to provide the convience of passenger, this article put forward the design and realization of uban public traffic quire system,which aims at the least transfer times firstly, the least stations and the shortest distance. With the popularization of computer technology and the development of GIS, in virtue of its powerful function, GIS technology is used widely and home. The development of this system is second development of GIS, and its mode adopt component GIS. Based on the function required in the system and the size of the system, this paper adopt MapObjects as the component of GIS second develop, Visual Basic 6.0 as the tool.This system chooses files and database to storage the system. That is to say, the spatial data is storaged in Shape files and the property data is storaged in the relation database. Based on the characteristic of bus network, reasonable datasheet has presented in SQL Server 2000.The arithmetic of bus transfer is part of network analyse of spatial analyse in GIS. Through the analyse and research of bus network, based on the characteristic of bus network,this paper achieves the topology abstract of network, then presents the relevant arithmetic. That is to say, based on the the table of bus station and route, figure out the transfer matrix. Then can work out the least transfer times between any bus stations and the travel projects. Kunming is an example in this system. The system realize some basic functionof GIS such as zoom in, zoom out and pan. The central function is bustransfer.Users can input jumping-off point and terminal on the keyboard ordot on the map, then they can hunt out the travel ways. At the same time, thereare choices of the least stations and the least distance. In addition, thereis information query which include placename, bus stations and bus route.Thereinto, the query of placenames include blurry and precise query. Users canhunt out placenames and the place can be oriented on the map.At last, this paper summarizes the develop process, and brings forward someadvice for the further studies.
