Comprehensive Urban Transportation Study On Sustainable Development

Sustainable development is one kind of new strategic concept; it manifests the humanity's significant transformation from the attention of environment to the attention of coordinates of the development and environment. The urban synthesis transportation is the pillar industry of social development and economical development. Along with economical development and urbanized advancement, traffic jam, road traffic accident, environmental pollution and the demand questions that is unable to satisfy and so on have been seriously restricting the sustainable development of urban economy, the society, the environment and the resources. Therefore, the coordinates between the urban synthesis transportation and the economical, society, environment and resources by the sustainable development thought, have the profound significance in impelling the development of urban synthesis transportation in our country.Taking sustainable development as the instruction, the urban synthesis transportation theory as the foundation, this article has analyzed the relations between the urban synthesis transportation and the economy, the social, the resources and the environment. Then explicitly pointed out the sustainable development is the development tendency of the urban synthesis transportation. Through understanding the current situation of development of some overseas urban synthesis transportation, the article summarized the overseas development experiences and analyzed current situation of development and the existing questions of urban synthesis transportation in our country. Thus the goal and the direction of the development of urban synthesis transportation are clear, that is to walk roads of the sustainable development. Subsequently the article proposed the connotation, the goal and the principle of sustainable development of urban synthesis transportation; Points out the development thinking and, proposed the development strategic measures as well as some related measures from the urban passenger transportation, freight transportation and external transportation these three angles.
