The remote monitoring of the power system is developing rapidly in recent years. As a new study field it is focused on by technological engineers in many areas of power system, such as operation, management, research and so on. Moreover its application and improvement will bring more benefits to the power system security and economy. But different equipments realized different functions in the past, whose hardware and software overlapped. Thus it wastes some resource and weakens the equipment reliability. The monitoring technology in power system is a combination technology, which is based on many kinds of technologies, such as the computer and digital processing technology, the micro-electronic and power electronic technology and also the computer commutation and network technology. With the fast development of these technologies, the monitoring technology will finally become more intelligent and automatic. Moreover, on-line monitoring and computer monitoring in the network range are possible. In other words, it is the tendency for the monitoring equipment to be more digital, intelligent and integrated. The monitoring technology will become a multidiscipline in the future. On the other hand, remote monitoring is a huge economic market, whose research and study have a large economic attraction.Based on the present remote monitoring technique, this paper puts forward and develops power system remote monitoring equipment on the ARM/DSP embedded platform. The equipment adopts modularize design, and its core CPU adopts TMS320LF2407 chip made by American TI and 32 bits LPC22M micro processor with ARM core made by Netherlandish PHILIPS to realize the data processing and control respectively. The two core chips independently operate on different circuit board and exchange data...
