Brushless direct-current motor (BLDCM), in which electrical commutator is used instead of mechanical commutator of the conventional DC motor, has good characteristics of speed control, noise, etc. So BLDCM are now widely used due to their high power density, high efficiency and ease of control. Control accuracy, stability and anti-jamming capability are the important factors that determine the overall performance measurement of system. In order to make this system of higher precision, stability and a strong anti-jamming capability, to use an appropriate method of control is crucial. Therefore, the control of the brushless DC motor is a hot spot.The traditional double-loop PID control study of the linear time-invariant control system. However, a number of actual control systems contain nonlinear problems; in addition, the electrical parameters of the operation will change while the motor is operating. PID parameters prior to the establishment of good basis for setting a precise mathematical model. But the parameters can't vary in time. There followed the steady-state accuracy and interference resistance is not high.Fuzzy control theory using fuzzy set theory, put experience and the maturity of experts into the control strategy is able to achieve good control with the complex object. This paper studies the theory of fuzzy control. And on this basis, designed a fuzzy PID control of brushless DC motor driving system, and compared with the traditional double-loop PID control system simulation results. Then designed the self-adaptive fuzzy PID control system to improve the disadvantages of the fuzzy PID controller. The proposed system can adjustment its parameters in real-time according to the output. The simulation result shows the performance of BLDCM system is improved in stability, response speed, robust and adaptability of parameters.
