In this paper , piston ring lubrication has been studied; The effect of different piston curl parameter on the state of lubrication between piston ring and cylinder is analyzed.The piston ring lubrication is the most important friction in the internal combustion engines, a great deal of problem in internal combustion engines is related to the expiration of piston rings, and the lubricating state between piston ring and cylinder has decided its lubricity quality, so the lubricating condition Between piston ring and cylinder is receiving more and more value, and the study of piston ring lubrication in internal combustion engines is remaining a very active area in Tribology. In the paper, a hydrodynamic lubrication analysis has been developed to predict the lubrication performances of piston ring and cylinder liner contact, the factors that have effects on the lubrication performances of piston ring have been considered in the model, such as surface roughness, the effects of temperature and pressure on the density and viscosity of oil. And then using this model to analyze the lubricating condition between piston ring and cylinder.The model has been solved cyclically using the finite difference method, and then obtained the discretization array of average finite Reynolds equation. The computation program for analyzing the lubrication performances of piston ring and cylinder liner contact has been developed in visual C++ 6. 0, which considered the factors such as surface roughness, the effects of temperature and pressure on the density and viscosity of oil.Using the above computation program, take the theory barrel piston as the research object to analyze the factors such as surface roughness, axial height of piston ring, barrel surface altitude of piston ring, directional property of surface and piston ring distortion angle effecton the lubricating state between piston ring and cylinder.The study of piston ring lubrication has remained a very active area in internal combustion engines, but almost all previous models were based on the assumption that the ring face profile in axial variation was barrel surface shape, has not considered the piston' s real outline profile. In the current work, the real outline profile of piston ring has measured through experiment. And using the computation program, take the real profile piston as the research object to analyze the factors such as axial height and distortion angle of piston ring effect on the lubricating state between piston ring and cylinder. Then contrasting the theory barrel surface piston ring to the real profile piston ring.The research indicated that; suitably reduce the lubrication surface roughness, increase the axial height and barrel surface altitude of piston ring are propitious to the lubrication between piston ring and cylinder. The lubricating state is best when distortion angle of piston ring probably equal to 1 degree.
