The accessibility research belongs to the overlapping category about geographyand transportation study. The accessibility reflects the opportunity and the potential inwhich the region carries on the social economy and the technological exchangecontacting with other relative areas. The accessibility degree between the region andother closed regions reflects the development degree about social and economy of thisregion. Simultaneously the accessibility degree has an intense influence on the socialand economy development of this region. The accessibility research was started late.The research on accessibility concept, its assessment method and application aspect isnot mature at present. The achievement of accessibility research is not rich in overseasand even more poor in domestic.This article unifies the theory and the practice. At first it discusses theaccessibility theory that includes accessibility definition, accessibility appraisal targetand the difference omong the different spatial criterion accessibilities. And then thisarticle inquires into the theory and model about that the gradual consummation ofpassenger transportation network exerts the influence to the accessibility. The articletakes Guangdong Province as an example, inquires into the influence that the gradualconsummation of passenger transportation network makes on the region accessibilityand the difference influence omong the different regions form 1995 to 2005. At lastthis article studies the relation between the accessibility change and economydevelopment.The author has following conclusions:1) The accessibility convenient degree about road, the railroad and the aviationtransportation has obtained enhancement during the recent ten years in theGuangdong province.The accessibility about main cities all has a goodenhancement.2) With the enhancing of the roads category, the highway traffic accessibility isenhancing, the time distance omong the main cities is reducing. In the railroad respect, the accessibility enhancement mainly benefits to the new railroadbuilding from 1995 to 2005 but to the acceleration of the railroad transportationfrom 2000 to 2005. In the aviation respect, the accessibility change mainlymanifests in the fluctuation of the flight number and volume of passengerhandling.3) The total accessibility convenient degree of a city is decided by theaccessibility convenient degree of three kinds of transportation simultaneously.4) It has a closed relation between the accessibility convenient degree and thecity's per capital GDP.
