Silicone Anti-corrosion Coatings In The Substation Steel Applied Research

Anti-corrosion coating to outdoor steel structure has several disadvantages: poordurability, limited anti-corrosive ability, upper pretreatment to steel structure andimported coating is expensive. The present thesis centers on developing an anti-corrosioncoating of moderate price, lower pretreatment, good durability, self-cleaning.Silicone anticorrosion coatings is composed of base coating and surface coating.Component A of base coating is composed of polysiloxane modified epoxy resins,nano-micaceous iron oxide, zinc oxide, active rust remover, antisettle agent, tackifier,defoamer and mixed solvent. Component B of base coating consists of Low MolecularPolyamide, modified amine, curing accelerator DMP-30, mixed solvent. At differentblending ratio of Component A and Component B, testing study for performanceoptimization of base coating was carried on, the results indicate that component A-Ⅱwas the optimal formulation. Surface coating is composed of component A andcomponent B. Component A of surface coating is composed of Silicone-Acrylate Resins,Nanometer Silica, Nano Titanium Oxide, Ultramicro-powder wax of tetrafluoroethylene,iron grey paint, tetraethylorthosilicate, Organotin as catalysts and mixed solvent.Component B is composed by the silicone prepolymer synthesis formula and the siliconepolymer formula. Through optimization performance test of component A andcomponent B, the surface coating formula was determined.Small scale test for base coating and surface coating were carried on, the resultsshowed that the physical and chemical characteristics of coating film meeted the designdemand. So scale-up test was carried on, and this anti-corrosion coating was applied inthe steel structure of Jingjiang 220V substation and Jurong 110V substation. Surfaceobservation in steel structure for half a year, corrosion phenomena was not found.Surface coating film of steel structure has good cleanliness and no crack, separate, tosome extent the anti-corrosion coating has the effect of anti-soil and self-cleaning.
