Conductive coatings were prepared by doping of metals (Cu, Ni) with differentpolymer systems (acrylic resin, epoxy resin, alkyd resin). First of all, the metalpowders (Cu, Ni) were dispersed by self-made super-dispersant to modify not onlythe electrical conductivity of the coatings but also the oxidation resistance of copperpowder doped conductive coatings. And then, the preparing process was optimized toget conductive coatings with stable performance. The influence elements on conductive performance and mechanical properties ofthe coatings were studied such as film forming materials (acrylic resin, epoxy resin, alkyd resin), conductive filler contents, super dispersant contents, anti-settling agentcontents and coating thickness to carried out the scheme of the conductive coatings. It was shown that acrylic resin system conductive coatings had good conductivityand mechanical properties; and epoxy resin conductive coatings had poor resilience, high curing temperature and poor conductivity; alkyd resin coatings had good electiveperformance. Because there were some double bonds and hydroxyl groups remainedin alkyd resin, which would affect the physical and chemical properties of thecoatings. The drying time of alkyd resin was too long to defect its electiveperformance after a long period.
