As the most important equipment, Metal-clad switchgear guarantee the safe operation of electric power system. Sometimes, the temperature of part of Metal-clad switchgear maybe over the limit of safe operation, and then arouse accident, bring losing. In past, workers check up the Metal-clad switchgear on schedule, which takes time and hard sledding, can not work efficiency and betimes. On-line real-time monitoring for temperature overcome the difficulties of high temperature, high voltage and high magnetic field, to be a new method of checking up the Metal-clad switchgear. It can show the temperature of the spot of being monitored, judge the temperature and give an alarm. The system saves lots of resource and improves the veracity.The paper presents the detail about the procedure of the design for the system from both hardware and software aspects. There are two defferent design of hardware: optical fiber temperature sensor is used for middle-voltage Metal-clad switchgear, which data is transferred by optical fiber; another one is 1-Wire Digital Thermometer, it is used for lower-voltage Metal-clad switchgear, and the data is transferred by unwired. The software of On-line real-time monitoring for temperature can show the temperature real-time, analyse the data, gave an alarm, save the data, and so on. The system can awoke the workers about the alarm in time, avoiding the accident.The result of the axperiment indicates the new system works well, it has accomplished the design aims of anticipating, providing a good guarantee of the safe operation of Metal-clad switchgear...
