With the development of information and the tendency of economy globalization, Enterprises are often in the way of enterprise alliance for the sake of surviving and developing. Collabrative virtual machining system can supply a collaborative platform in order to realize resource sharing and rapid responding to market. On the basis of study of the characteristic and requirement of collaborative virtual machining system, an architecture of collaborative virtual machining system is put forward under existing collaborative product develop environment.Futhermore, the key technologies to realize the system are abstracted out.General NC translator is the basic of the system. Under the analysis of the characteristic and composing of NC code, under the comparison of otherness of different NC systems and the error of NC code, the frame of the general NC translator is put forward. The database for general NC translator is designed and all rules of NC code are expressed in the way of GRETA. All modules in general NC translator are deigned in detail and arithmetics are given to realized NC system customization and different NC codes' conversion.Base on the built Multi-Agent collaborative virtual machining system logic function figure, virtual machining Agent, communication agent and collaborative tools agent as well as interface of Agent are designed. The protocol of the system is realized under the help of KQML language and the communication of the system under the help of Winsock. The floor control strategy is also studied and the strategy under multi-factor is put forward. The message of encapsulation parsing is also studied. The realization of the system is designed in detail. Finally, according to the theories above, a prototype of collaborative virtual machining system is developed and an instance is given out.
