Collaborative Design Process Management System

Collaborative Design is a new technology and can finish a common work by the cooperation and division based on computer technologies , which include many knowledge, for example project management and resources management and process management and exchange tool management and so on.Process Management System is a son module of Collaborative Design System in this thesis , which deal with the problems of process plan and process control, the former is mainly task decomposition and assignment, the latter is mainly constraint management and conflict management in the process of cooperative design.Process Management System is in the distributed situation and give different right to different people, who can take the charge of constraint messages and conflict in process of design in order to satisfy the demand of cooperative design. The main content of this thesis is as follows :(1) The inner system structure and the main function module including constraint and conflict management of Process Management System in cooperative design based on CAD is researched.(2) The method of task decomposing based on BOM of design is proposed to change the tradition organization form which design product around department to assign the task.(3) The lay product constraint message model is built in the base of transformation of constraint and relations database for example constraint database and product database are built with SQL Server 2000.(4) Process Management System I s designed with Visual C ++, which main module is reduced .(5) Integrated CAD with Process Management System with ObjectARX and ActiveX technologies and so on.Process Management System be used as son module of Collaborative Design System , which not only can be integrated with others systems in Collaborative Design System ,but also can be used as a subsystem by using module interface technology(for example in CAD system). It will improve efficiency and processes of design to some extent, at the meantime will benefit the integration and development of Collaborative Design System.
