The great development of The Theory of Automatic Control and the promotion in the automaticity applying level from all walks of life will facilitate the following exploitation and application of Single-Chip-Micro Computer and controlling computer in industry. Computer control system is then greatly developed and is applied in more fields. This thesis mainly deals with the constant control with Single-Chip-Micro Computer in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations.We have plenty of hydroelectric resources in our country. Nowadays the medium-sized and small-sized hydropower stations are in poor situations. The control installations have become old, so they can't work well or they work in low efficiency. What's more, building medium-sized and small-sized hydropower stations will have great effect on environmental protection and continuous development of our economy. Therefore, the new control installations are greatly needed, and it's very necessary to boost hydroelectric automaticity. With the improvement of large-sized hydroelectric control system, medium-sized and small-sized hydropower stations have also been developed. After collecting and referring to the relevant materials of home and abroad, the author has made a bold try. That is, Single-Chip-Micro Computer is used to control water gate in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations.In order to promote the modernization of medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations and ensure the safety of hydropower stations, we should apply advanced technology and allocate computer control installations. In this way we can promote the automaticity level and safety of hydropower stations, improve economic performance and make it operate more reliably and steadily. Thus Single-Chip-Micro Computer is used to control water gate in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations. Water gate Control system in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations acts as the protective system of electric system, so it must work reliably and swiftly. Therefore, it must have such fine functions as monitor, supervisory control, communication and so on.Single-Chip-Micro Computer is very small and has strong ability of data processing and anti-interference. It also has plenty of outer processing resources. On the basis of its following characteristics such as being small-sized and strong anti-interference, Single-Chip-Micro Computer is applied to control water gate automatically in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations, and it can work properly and reliably.Algorithm of WGCS is PID adjustment algorithm. Based on the characters of water gate operation, PID algorithm is improved in order to make water gate function very well. Some new sensors are applied in WGCS to improve security of the system. In the situation of intense magnetic field interference, new anti-interference technology should be applied to ensure the security of the system. WGCS includes the following functions: data collection section, computation and adjustment section, control section, compare and decision section, report section, instrument protection section and communication section. In order to realize these functions, promote the automaticity level of medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations, increase the operation efficiency of water gate and reduce the probability of accidents and the time in solving the problems, the method of water gates' automation is researched and hardware and software sections in this system are designed.This thesis mainly deals with the following points: the development of water gate control; the design of water gate control system in hydropower stations; how to apply the technology of Single-Chip-Micro Computer to water gate control system. The theoretical significance of this thesis lies in the application of Single-Chip-Micro Computer to control water gate in medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations. Its practical value lies in promoting the development in automaticity of medium-sided and small-sized hydropower stations, improving the efficiency of monitoring water gates, reducing the rate of accidents and promoting the efficiency of solving the problems after accidents.
