Based on the characteristic of the pavement serviced, the traffic and the maintenance management of the major freeways in Jiangsu. Puts forward to the way to the pavement maintenance of the freeways with the system analysis theory, the modern information technique and much scientific knowledge on system science, management science, project economy, highway engineering, computer technique and so on. Analyses jiangsu-specific maintenance evaluation indexes and make further research in consideration of the single index-ruttness. Effective Jiangsu-specific maintenance evaluation indexes are put forward, PQI are adopted as indexes average in the road comprehensive evaluation. The decision of maintenance section and the choosing of maintenance solution were studied, at the same time, how the excellent selections been put into effect were expounded. Hope, road maintenance is more standardized, scientific and modernized. As a result, road functions and limited years will be improved in jiangsu Province.
