Confronted with fierce global competition, the architecture industry in China also enjoyed substantial developments. To solve a series of nurturing the professional architects, it is essential to speed up the pace of the professional education developments in universities, and to have a further requirement of the design and construction of the Department of Architecture. At present, based on the fact that the design and construction of the buildings on campus draw wide public concern, the Department of Architecture, a part of the campus teaching buildings , strongly shares both the generality of campus buliding and speciality of serving the professional education of architecture .This paper makes an analyzing summary and conclusion of the design of Department of Architecture on the basis of the five elements, including the basic architectural functions , the space organization of the public organization, the interfacial design of the internal and external , and the sustainable design .The design has its distinctive charateristics , and provides a proper mutual communication between teachers and students from different levels , and promote students' interpretation of the Architecture, it also creats a harmonious mood of studing architecture .This paper can be divided into five chapters .The first chapter has a general introduction of the professional education and also touchs on the purpose and meaning and strategy of the research. The second part has a brief description about the particularity and history and current status of the Architectural Department, emphasizing the the trend of its developments and its influence factors. The third chapter makes a detailed analysis and conclusion to clear the thougts of design. The forth chapter is about an analysis of the project practise of the Architectural Department of Fujian University of Techonology. The last chapter deals with the conclusion of this paper.
