Honeycomb paperboard is a new kind of environment preserving green packing materia, due to the proprerties of light weight, high intensity and large rigidity, it is getting more and more using at the area of the building and packing. Large amount of work have been made on the honeycomb structure, which are made of aluminum, glass fiber, and so on, while the only few study on the honeycomb paperboard is focus on its crushing property. The investigation of the constitutive relationship about honeycomb paperboard is little, especially, both the mechanical properties of paper and the effect against to paperboard are untouched. And the mechanical model to forcast properties of the paperboard is not set up.The quality and mechanical properties of paperboard will be influenced by the quality of paper. The structure and properties are discussed, the mechanical model of paper are built in combination with theσ-εcurve; In view of theory of honeycomb paperboard did by other people, the mechanical model of honeycomb paperboard is given by using a combination format of Maxwell model and Kelvin model and plasticity element, the relevant constitutive relationship is studied, the rules of static compressive deformation and mechanical property of the paperboards is explained by the mechanical model , the crushing property of paperboard are analysed on the basis of it.The mechanical properties of the paperboard is measured according to the compress strength, experiment did by former used smaller sample, which include few honeycombs, so it's properties will be affected by manufacturing technology apparently. The experiments of many kind of honeycomb paperboard had been done to deal with this problem, some mechanical parameters about big package is obatained, futhermore, the data of the modulus of elastictity and the compress strength from experiment made foundation for compute simulation.The compress strength of paperboard is decided by the compress strength of honeycomb core, few people study it by simulation at present, the date from the experiment and the manufacturing technology is adopted to simulate, simulation on single honeycomb core is conducted, the static analysis method of linear buckle and nonliner buckle is used, the buckled load of honeycomb core is predicted; muliti-core is studied by the way of linear buckle; some others element is applied for analysis and comparision; the mechanical properties of honeycomb paperboad is analyzed, which make a basis for the study in the long run.The method combined thoery and experiment is done in the paperboard of this project, the basis mechanical data drawed from experiment are provided for computer simulation, the structure model of honeycomb is founded by using the FEA softwre, the mechanical properties of honeycomb is analysed, the result is contrasted with the data from experiment, the result show that theoretic model has a good accuracy in coincide with the experiment, this mechod is not only used repeatly, but also save large costs, it will better serves for the production and the practice, instructively and significantly.
