With the gradual progress of technology and the continual upgrade of equipments, the data communication network systems in military vehicles are becoming more and more complex. The variance of interfaces and the diversification of protocols, make the communication difficult among different equipments, to some extent. How to achieve the communication among different equipments with different interfaces and build up a real-time and reliable data communication network are the main contents of this dissertation.Based on the further study of the present research status at home and abroad, and related technologies, aiming at the problem above, the dissertation presents a solution called embedded vehicle communication controller, which combines with ARM microcontroller, network technology and embedded real-time operating system. It has several interfaces, which are designed to convert data among different equipments with different interfaces. Also the specially designed dual Ethernet interfaces are used to build up an annular Ethernet network. As the main network, it improves the reliability of data transmission.After introducing the design idea, constitutions and functions of the embedded vehicle communication controller, the dissertation mainly completes the design of the software part. It includes transplanting RTOSμC/OS-II to the hardware platform, which uses LPC2378 as the main controller, creating tasks based on different interfaces and also designing terminal software under Delphi programming environment, such as configuration interface, protocol conversion, sending and receiving files and so on.Finally, the dissertation tested the embedded vehicle communication controller, such as converting data between different interfaces, sending and receiving files through Ethernet interface and so on. The test approved that the embedded vehicle communication controller could run well and achieved the anticipated functions.The result of the research provides a feasible option for the communication among different equipments with different interfaces in military vehicles. So it will have a good application prospect.
