With the development of the automotive electronic technology and weapon equipments, the network of the data communication is becoming more and more complicated. The increasingly severe environment of the military vehicle puts forward higher requirements for the quality of the communication. For traditional communication devices in vehicles, how to realize the voice digitized, enhance the quality of the communication and reinforce the reliability of the system, is an important subject in the research of electronic vehicle communication.Based on the present research, a design scheme of the vehicle communication controller is proposed in the paper. The audio system and the network system of the vehicle communication controller are well integrated, which implements the voice communication design of the double bus and annular network architecture. Moreover, the quality and the reliability of voice communication can be guaranteed effectively. In addition, the digitization of voice communication will also realize the mode of the voice communication configurable.After describing the overall design and the composition, the paper accomplishes the design of the audio system of the vehicle communication controller. In this paper, microcontroller LPC2378 is employed as the main control chip. MP3 and WAV are adopted as the coding and decoding audio formats in the system, which implements the digitization of voice and data transmission. The paper accomplishes the hardware design of the system, and implements the modularization design of the software.Finally, combined with the hardware and the software design of the audio system, the functional debugging of the modules is carried out. The tests show that the expected requirements of the functional design are reached and the performance is stable.The paper proposes a feasible technical scheme for the development of the voice communication system in military vehicles, which has certain research significance.
