In petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, thermoelectric, sugar, food industries, the scaling issue of heat transfer equipment, evaporative cooling equipment and metal pipes has been a major industry problem. The poor performance of fouling on heat conduction has caused huge unnecessary expenditure in industrial production. Compared to traditional cleaning methods, the ultrasonic cleaning methods have the advantages of saving money, energy conservation; reduce environmental pollution and so on.Ultrasonic cleaning equipment is composed of ultrasonic generator and transducer. Ultrasonic generator is the power supply of transducer. Transducer transforms electrical energy into kinetic energy. This paper mainly has carried on the theoretical analysis and design to the high-power ultrasonic generator.First of all, a brief introduction on ultrasonic generator principle is given; a choice of power amplifier circuits is made; lots of frequency-tracking methods are summed up, and a scanning frequency-tracking method based on these theories is designed; a variety of power Regulation is discussed and the final project is determined; the shaping on power switching devices IGBT is carried on and a feasibility analysis is conducted; the drive and protection technology of IGBT is discussed and the circuit is designed; on the design of frequency-tracking circuit is introduced in detail.Then, the design process of a 2kW/20kHz prototype is described. The circuit design and device selection of the main design elements, such as: rectifier filter circuit, inverter circuit, matching circuit is introduced in detail.Finally, the design is simulated in PSpice. And then the simulation results are analyzed. The simulation results show the feasibility of the design.This frequency tracking circuit and the IGBT high-power design are different from the past. The frequency tracking difficulties and low-power issue of traditional ultrasonic generator are solved. In addition, the design progress of the high-power ultrasonic generator is detailed in this paper, which is hard to see in the papers of the past. Therefore, this paper worth considering.
