Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, A Highway Traffic Safety Measures Study

As a high-grade highway only second to highways, primary highway has some characteristics such as bigger Traffic volume,quicker traffic speed,open,sub-to,sub-lane road etc. Primary highway has high index of Alignment,great traffic capacity, high service level.In a long period in the future, construction of primary highway will be the focus of highway construction in Inner Mongolia.However, the rapid development of primary highway has brought us new problems need to be resolved:how to solve the frequent traffic accidents.Because of the low road safety awareness and the mixed running of agricultural vehicles and non-motor,the problem of traffic safety is very prominent.Therefore with regard to the improvement and optimization of the safety facilities on primary highway in Inner Mongolia, a raise of the roads' level and the safety of peoples'life and property, the study on the safety measures of primary highway has a practical significance.The main object of this topic is the grade-I highway in Inner Mongolia. According to the feature of Inner Mongolia Highway, environmental characteristics, traffic characteristics and the current situation of traffic safety facilities,based on the "Analysis of Traffic Accident of primary Highway in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region"we propose effective measures for improvement.This paper first summes up the characteristics of primary highway traffic accident and safety measures through the analysis of four transport elements.Then it gives safety engineering measures through explaining an attentive problems should be attentioned in highway engineering measures by an example.With the analysis of the autonomous people, roads and the vehicle, the paper comprehensively reviews primary highway traffic safety administration, analyzes the key issues, and gives the corresponding countermeasures.
