Study Of Improvement For Traffic Safety At Urban Road Intersection

In recent years, with the development of the economy and the increase of vehicles, the number of accidents will continue rising. City intersections are the throat in the urban network, are the place where traffic meets together, traffic accidents and congestion are multiple points, where many traffic accidents and congestion happen. Improving the safety level of the city intersection is an important way to increase safety. So how to diagnose safety problems and improve city road intersection safety effectively will become an important issue.Now, there have been quite a number of security analysis methods and theories in the city intersection at home and abroad, but these methods and theories are formed on the basis of traffic accidents. However, the data of traffic accidents is not accurate enough, these theories are not appropriate for our country. Because of this, this paper mainly studies on non-accident analysis method, from engineering, control and environmental, builds the safety diagnostic model and safety scheduling model of urban road intersection, to improve the level of intersection safety in our cities.This paper studies safety evaluation and improvements at urban road intersection improvements,using the traffic survey and the method of combining case studies.This paper mainly includes improving traffic safety diagnosis and security measures of urban road intersections, and forming a system of safety improvement theory. First of all, builds the index system, which includes geometry, traffic control,and traffic environment evaluation. Secondly, briefly introduces the existing safety evaluation methods at the intersections and determines the safety diagnostic methods used on intersection safety as the main method.Thirdly, according to research, using Delphi method, determines safe diagnostic model of the intersection, use the diagnostic model to determine safety issues for improvements and proposes effective safety improvement measures according to improvement measures sequencing model.Finally, do the example analysis on application of theoretical knowledge.
