In this paper, we studied the biological characters, the ecologicalcircumstances and three propagations of Rhododendron schlippenbachiiMaxim in Hunchun Jingxin Area of Jinlin Province China. By theinvestigations and the experiments, we supplemented the biologicalcharacters of Rhododendron schlippenbachii Maxim and grasped theecological circumstances of Rhododendron schlippenbachii Maxim. Thecontent of the hydrolysable N, the available P2O5, the available K2O, theorganic matter and pH is higher and higher with the soil depth. Afterpreserved in the refrigerator at 4℃some time, the seeds sproutproportion appear vary. By comparing the different conditions, we foundthe seeds sprout is the highest at constant temperature 25℃, the beamis not influence for the seeds sprout. By comparing the different plants,we found there is difference in the different plants for the seeds sprout. The best fill prescription of seed propagation basic substance consistsof sand, land soil, vermiculite and pine soil, the ratio is 2:1:2:1. Thehydrolysable N in the best basic substance is 58.43mg/kg, the availableP2O5 is 5.27mg/kg, the available K2O is 57.69mg/kg, the organic matter is5.91g/kg, the pH is 4.83. The best culture medium of bacteriumlessseedlings is 1/2MS, the fittest pH is 5.2, and with comparing, we foundthe seedlings growing in sowing and culture within same days, the formeris better than the later on the height, the length of roots and the leaves. The asexual reproduction can use hardwood cuttage, in summer and autumn,we can choose the branches with the head bud which have been immersed inthe NAA200mg/L+IBA100 mg/L for 5 seconds, the branches can take root.
