Endometritis is a common reproductive disease of canine which mainly caused by the combined effect of hormones and pathogenic microorganisms. it's also one of the main reasons of infertilitas feminis. Two methods for clinical treatment of the disease are mostly applied. Surgical therapy is used for dogs that have a severe uterine abscess, but antibiotics treatment is mainly for breeding dog and for mild case.Inflammation secretions had been collected for separation, culture and identification from canine uterus with operation or cotton pledget in Hubei province. The main pathogens which cause uterine endometritis were Escherichia coli, Shigella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, Pseudomonas and Corynebacterium. In order to select sensitive drugs, drug sensitivity test was carried out with aminoglycoside, tetracycline, badtradn, propolis and Enroflaxin respectively to every bacterium. The results showed tha Enroflaxin was the most sensitive, then the propolis and Aminoglycoside, Tetracycline and bacitracin were not sensitive. It provides an important basis to treat canine endometritis and offered a availuble guidance to rational administration on clinics. This experiment chooses Propolis as mucosal protective agent to assist Enroflaxin to treat canine endometritis. 125mg enroflaxin was dissolved with 250mg propel in the solution of acetate combine with tincture, and meteried to 100 ml with double distilled water. The Enroflaxin content of perfusion determined the absorbance, and showed strong linear relationship in 1—11ug/ml range. According to regression analysis, Enroflaxin linear regression equation is: A=0.0319C+0.1255 (n=7) , R2=0.9993,content is 96.2%, RSD=0.8%. Thermal and light stability experiments showed that the drugs pH value, the appearance and relative density of the perfusion were not changed. The thermal stability experiment condition was at 40℃for 1 month, and the light stability experiment condition was 2500x1 for twenty five days. The perfusion LD50 was 773.6 mg/kg BW by Injecting it into mouse peritoneal cavity. Rabbit eye mucosa did not appear abnormal reaction in mucosal stimulation experiment.Using this medicine to therapy the bitch which is soon after the production and the bitch which with thick. The clinical effect of drugs to endometritis was observed with ultrasonography. Dogs suffering from the open endometritis or delivery in short time were medicated with our perfusion; the cure rate was highly up to 89.4%. It demonstrated that the drug effect was obvious.
