This paper included two part works: (1) Synthesis and herbicidal activity research of glycine hydrazides derivatives, (2) synthesis and dispersion research of the copolymers of acrylic acid, styrene sulfonic sodium and maleic anhydride.(1) Synthesis and herbicidal activity research of glycine hydrazides derivativesSix new 2,4-dichlorbenzoxyacetyl glycine hydrazides(Ⅰ) were synthesized from 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, glycine and benzohydrazide analogues; Twelve new 5-(fluorophenyl)-2-furoyl glycine hydrazides(Ⅱ) were synthesized from glycine, connected with 5-(fluorophenyl)-2-furoic acid and benzohydrazide analogues. The structural formulae of compounds (Ⅰ),(Ⅱ) are as follows respectively:The preliminary bioassay results showed that 5 compounds appeared good biological activities. At the concentration of 100 mg/L, the inhibition rates to the root of Brassica nopus and Echinochloa crusgall were 100%, 90% respectively. At the concentration of 10 mg/L, the inhibition rates of these compounds to the root and stem of Brassica nopus and Echinochloa crusgall were between 71.4% and 98.4%. The inhibition rates of another 13 compounds were below 80% at the same concentrations. The structural and herbicidal active relationships were studied using Sybyl 8.0.(2) Synthesis and dispersion research of the copolymers of acrylic acid, styrene sulfonic sodium and maleic anhydride.A series of copolymer dispersants (Ⅲ) based on monomers of acrylic acid, styrene sulfonic sodium and maleic anhydride were synthesized by aqueous copolymerization using ammonium persulfate as initiator. The reaction conditions were optimized through the orthogonal test and obtained the best sample. Copolymer dispersants(Ⅲ) have been studied for the aqueous dispersion of inorganic BaSO4 powders and organic pesticide imidacloprid. SEM, X-ray diffraction analyzer and laser diffraction particle size analyzer were applied to analyze the morphological characteristics, particle sizes and distribution efficiency of particles. The optimized copolymer had an excellent performance on BaSO4 suspension and 70% imidacloprid WG suspension, which suspension percentages were 98.78%, 84.40% respectively, near to the effect of Rhodia T36.
