Objective: Research on the affection of the Acanthopanax senticosus Harms to the space exploration ability and cognitive ability of rat. Methods: This study researched the space exploration in rats and cognitive ability with the hexagonal maze box test device, respectively hexagonal maze test results that affect the relevant factors, Acanthopanax senticosus Harms powder on space exploration and dose-effect relationship between cognitive research, Acanthopanax senticosus Harms powder on space exploration and the relationship between cognitive aging research, Acanthopanax senticosus Harms powder on scopolamine-induced memory impairment of learning and memory in rats.Results:1.Sex on space exploration and cognitive ability influence of experimental results show that: in male rats and female rats were significantly the rate of cognitive differences (p <0.05), to find the time to find the frequency comparison no significant difference (p > 0.05).2.Age on space exploration and the impact of cognitive ability research results show that: with the young age group (6 to 7 months old, weight 180±20 g) compared with younger group (<4 months old, weight 90±10g) the search time to find the frequency, recognition rates were significantly different (p <0.05), the aging group (18 to 24 months old, weight 290±40g) of the recognition rate were significantly different (p <0.01), findng time increase, not statistically significant.3.Senticosus on space exploration ability and cognitive ability affect the dose-effect relationship study shows that: Acanthopanax senticosus Harms 5.6g/kg dose reduction of search time, compared with the control group there was significant difference (p <0.01), find the frequency increased compared with the control group there was significant difference (p <0.05), recognition rate of increase, compared with the control group not significant.4.Senticosus on space exploration ability and cognitive effects of aging relationship studies showed that: the rats administered 7 days to find time decreases, compared with the control group there were significant differences (P <0.01); find increasing frequency, and control group there was significant difference (P <0.05), recognition rate increased, but not statistically significant. Other treatment group to find the time to find the frequency compared with the control group were significantly different (P <0.01, P <0.05), but the rate of cognitive treatment group decreased compared with the control group not significant.5.Senticosus on the memory impairment of learning and memory ability of study shows that: memory impairment model group compared with the control group to find the time difference was significant (p <0.01) to find the frequency and rate of significant cognitive differences (p < 0.05). Treatment group and model group, to find the time difference was significant (p <0.01), looking for cognition rate of frequency and there was significant difference (p <0.05).Conclusion:1. Gender study shows that: Recognition rate of male rats is higher than female rats, and both rats of finding time and finding frequency is very closed.2. Age Factors that: the exploring ability of adult rats was significantly higher than the older and the younger rats.3. Studies show that the dose-effect relationship: in the set of Acanthopanax senticosus Harms 5 doses, the optimal dose of5.6g/kg expression was that rats of the finding time significantly lower, finding frequency increase and the cognitive rate increase. On its ability to enhance exploration, increased excitability, enhanced cognitive ability.4. Aging relationship studies showed that: Acanthopanax senticosus Harms 5.6g/kg onset time of continuous oral administration of 3 days, delivery 7 days to reach the peak, reached 11 days of recognition rate in rats lower.5. Senticosus on scopolamine-induced memory impairment of learning and memory in rats showed that: Acanthopanax senticosus Harms can improve the memory impairment induced by scopolamine in rats learning and memory.
