| Objectives:To evaluate the benefits and harms Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) combining with west medicine in patients with chronic uric acid nephropahty (CUAN) Review systematically whether there is enough existing Evidences that TCM is effective and safe in the treatment of the patients With west medicineMethods:We searched the Cochrane Controlled Trials Registe(CCTR)(The Cochrane Library issue 4 2009),MEDLINE(1997to2009), EMBASE and China National Konwledge infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese VIP datebase (VIP), WanFang data.The Chinese journals related to TCM in 2009 searched by hand.Two authors independently assessed trial quality and extracted data from these Randomized Controlled Trails, then imported them into the Mete-analysis by Rev.Men 4.2.2.Results:31 studies (1673 patients) were identified.The results of Mete-analysis indicated.(l):there are evidences to support that using TCM combining with west medicine is better than west medicine only on symptom physical sign and decreasing uric acid,24-hour proteinuria, B2-microglobulin, creatinine, urea nitrogen, high density lipoprotein,plasma viscosity,fibrinogen, the low density lipoprotein is also increasing in some tests.However, there is no statistically significant difference in cholesterol,triglyceride.(2):there are evidences to support that using TCM is better than west medicine only on symptom physical sign and decreasing 24-hour proteinuria, creatinine, urea nitrogen, cholesterol, triglyceride.However, there is no statistically significant difference in uric acid, B2-microglobulin.But the methododlogical quality is considered low in these stulevels of prevention.Conclusions:By the result of this study,TCM combining with west medicine therapy chronic uric acid nephropahty more effective than simplex west medicine.However, the evidence is not enough strong because of the low qualities of trials, the small sample sizes and other defect. |
