The Clinical Research On Xiaoliutang Treating Medium Or Late Stage Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objeetvie:To observe the clinical efficacy on XiaoLiuTang combined with chemotherapy in treating medium or late stage non—small cell lung cancer to explore the clinical value of XiaoLiuTang.Methods:36 cases of medium or late stage non-small cell lung cancer which were allⅢ-Ⅳgrade(WHO grade)proved by pathology were randomly divided into treatment group(17 cases) and control group(19 cases).The two groups were all treatad with chemotherapy(NP program:DDP 30mg/m2,ivgtt,dl-3;NVB 25mg/m2, ivgtt,d1, d8).Each course included 3-4 weeks and two courses were completed.At equal pace the treatment group was given XiaoLiuTang, and the other traditional chinese medicine did not be given during the therapy period. Toxic and side effect and changes of quality of life,clinical symptoms and focus were observed after treatment.Results:Evaluation of the quality of life:the quality of life of the patients of two groups both improved remarkably after treatment(P<0.05),and those who were in the treatment group improved obviously compared with the control group(P<0.05). Clinical symptoms of the patients in the treatment group improved obviously compared with the control group(P<0.05). Safety evaluation:the main adverse reaction of the two groups were myelosuppression,gastrointestinal reaction etc.The incidence of them in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and The incidence of severely adverse reaction(Ⅲ-Ⅳgrade) in the treatment group was also lower than that in the control group. The incidence of he-patotoxicity and nephrotoxicity was all low in the two groups,and there was no case of cardiactoxicity.Changes of focus:effective power and stab-le rate of focus in the treatment group raised greatly,but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:XiaoLiuTang can markedly improve the quality of life and Clinical symptoms of the patients of medium or late stage non-small cell lung cancer.It also can reduce toxic and side reaction of chemotherapy and stabilize focus. It is worth to research XiaoLiuTang further in relieving focus to control disease development.
