| Following the development of social economy and culture today, news translation has become an important part of the current translation works. Because of its own characteristics related to target,timeliness, authenticity and fun, it is different from the other types of text. So in the process of news translation. Functional Translation theory can not be ignored. And as the theoretical framework of the functional translation theory, Reiss's text function typology, the purpose of Vermeer, Monterey translation behavior theory will also play a guiding role in news translation. Based on the Functional Translation theory, this dissertation will seek out the existing problems in news translation, and then point out its causes and solutions.The dissertation falls into three parts. Introduction is the leading part, makes a concrete explanation for the causes of topic selecting, the present situation of research, the meanings of research and the method used in the paper. Chapter 1 Based on the historical development of Western translation methods, gives a concrete discussion of Reiss's functional text typology, Manttari's translating and theory of action and Vermeer scopes theory and tell the reason why it is chosen to be the basic theory in news translation. Chapter 2 discusses the six translation techniques of news translation in details. Chapter 3 Based on the analysis of the existing problems in Chinese-Mongolian news translation, finds out its causes and serves some practical solutions.In the final part, gives an conclusion to the dissertation. |
