The Research Of The Aria "mom, Those Spirits" In The Mascagni Opera "cavalleria Rusticana"

Mascagni is a representative figure of the Italian Realism Opera. His opera "Cavalleria Rusticana" is still being performed all over the world. "Mom, those Spirits" is the aria sung by Turiddu in "Cavalleria Rusticana". It is a difficult aria for the opera tenors. It proposes higher requirements in singing for the tenor and does test the singer's level. The aria is also a work for a tenor to temper himself and show his ability. This thesis regards the characteristic of the rural knight's style as the breakthrough point, mainly analyzes the opera aria "Mom, those Spirits" from the aspects of melody, lyrics, and accompanying, and tries to discuss the singing technique and suggestion. Through the author's understanding on the lyrics, melody and mood, this thesis makes an explanation to the vocal learners about the requisites and. the qualifications to sing well an aria. It is hoped that the thesis can be a reference for vocal singing and vocal teaching and then be popularized.
