The thesis explores and expounds the impact of modern "Chinese Studies in Japan" on Japanese Aggression against China from the perspectives of both the academic nature and aggressive nature of this branch of study in Japan. In terms of its academic history, modern "Chinese studies in Japan" is born out of the traditional Sinology in Japan. It is determined by Japanese cultural context and influenced by European and American cultures in general and European culture in particular.
