Shintoism is the most primitive religious belief in Japan. One of its most important characteristics is that it is good at absorbing other cultures and integrating them into one's own culture. As Shintoism absorbed Taoism,Buddhism, and Confucianism,Shintoism gradually formed a kind of thought with "the emperor" as the core and advocated loyalty to the emperor. After the Meiji Restoration, this idea was selected by the emperor government as the core idea of its rule."State Shinto" was born. The influence of State Shinto continued for more than 80 years after the end of the Second World War.It was the rule of the Emperor. The special ideology used by the government to govern. The development of State Shinto is mainly divided into four stages. The first stage is the formation period of State Shinto. At the beginning of the birth of State Shinto, the Japanese government used political means to control thoughts, promote the spread of State Shinto, and put State Shinto above all religions in order to change the layout of State Shinto.Become a "state religion" that transcends religion, and use State Shinto for the education of Japanese citizens. The second stage is the completion of the doctrine of the State Shinto. As the emperor government stabilizes, the Japanese government decided to expand the influence of the State Shinto.First, the status of the State Shinto was protected by law,and the mission of the State Shinto enlightenment was top-down.Penetrating into the education of students, the intention is that the Japanese people have been controlled by the State Shinto ideology since birth. The third stage was the completion period of the State Shinto system. As the Japanese government transformed from capitalism to imperialism, the State Shinto began to be integrated with the military, which laid the roots for the rise of Japanese militarism. The fourth stage is the fascist state religion of the State Shinto.During the Japanese invasion of China, the State Shinto was the absolute core of thought.Under the influence of the State Shinto thought, the Japanese army brought serious harm to China and all of Asia. The reason why the State Shinto can control the thinking of the Japanese people mainly relies on its three core concepts. The first is to demand absolute worship of the emperor. The Japanese government proclaims that the emperor is the son of a god who governs Japan in a system of all generations, and is the emperor's identity A sacred color was added, and the Japanese people were compelled to worship the emperor through government decree. The second is the concept of loyalty and filial piety. The Japanese government portrays the emperor as the "family family" of all Japanese people and raises the traditional family-level "filial piety" to the national level. The Japanese people are filial to the emperor Katsuyutaka and support the emperor. The third is the idea of divinization of Japan. This idea emphasizes that the Japanese nation is a "heavenly grandson nation" higher than other nations in the world. It has inherent superiority. The emperor's right to rule the world is granted by the gods,so the emperor treats other nations. The war waged by the nation is a holy war,a responsibility and right given to the emperor by the gods.During the war of aggression against China, the main manifestation of State Shinto was divided into two ways. One was the large number of shrines established in Japan. The Yasukuni Shrine and Gokuni Shrine in Japan served as sacrifices to the heroic spirits and the role of propaganda of war.The overseas shrines established in the overseas areas under its rule mainly serve as a series of roles in maintaining the stability of Japanese rule, such as educating the people and controlling ideas. The second is to use traditional Japanese rituals to promote the war.On the one hand, the Japanese government uses control of the eulogy used to pay tribute to the deceased to justify and sanctify the soldiers who died.On the other hand, they give preferential treatment to the soldiers who died. The bereaved family, and vigorously promoted the gratitude of the bereaved soldiers to the government, and encouraged the Japanese people to join the war.At the same time, holding consolation sacrifices on the battlefield also played a role in inspiring soldiers' morale and reducing war exhaustion.
