The poetry about immortals is one kind of crucial literature styles that describe special themes in ancient time. The official poetry about immortals has its origin and develops directly from the Han Dynasty's poetry about immortals. This article takes the Western and Eastern of Han Dynasty poetry about immortals as the research object, inspects its production and evolution course, analyzes its implication of cultural evolution, and reviews its history significance in the poetry about immortals.This article divides into four chapters. Chapter one discusses the cultural connotation from the definitions of the two words "tour" and "fairy" in "Shuo wen jie zi". What is more, this chapter explores the research subjects about the Western and Eastern of Han Dynasty poetry about immortals. Chapter two inquires into the roots of the Han Dynasty poetry about immortals from several aspects, such as the literature development vein, the social background and philosophy foundation. Meanwhile, this chapter examines the origin of the Han Dynasty poetry and the authors. Furthermore, from the perspective of Taoist, this chapter points out the evolution of the Han Dynasty poetry about immortals from several stages, namely patrolling outside the world, training lives, training nature, training both lives and nature. Chapter three explores the profound cultural foundation, combs the relations within auspicious hints and "Chen Wei" and heaven induction in the Han Dynasty. As a result, this chapter points out such cultural foundations such as harmony between human beings and nature and optimism of human beings are the precious lessons for the modern world. Chapter four elaborates the influence of the poetry about immortals in the Han Dynasty which was not only on the later creations of poetry about immortals, but also on the broadening of the poetry manifold fields and techniques of expression. It also made the later literature projected literary men of their ideals, feelings and wishes, and greatly enhanced their artistic fancy as well.
