Penglai legend, referring to the legend of a fairy tale centering of Penglai.The date of formation is broadly in the Warring States Period, through interpretating, formed the story of the Eight Immortals representative of the unique legend system in the Song and Yuan period and then circulating throughout the world. But the formatian of Penglai legend is unknowned in the Southern and Northern Dynasties ,and the relationship between literature has never been carefully sorted out ,so it is very difficult to explore the own characteristics.Penglai legend in the Southern and Northern Dynasties literature occupy an important role. Therefore, this paper attempts to see Penglai as a relatively independent system ,to seek their own development process, to further analyze Penglai aesthetic image reflected in many writers of literary works in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, in particular favorite poetry about immortals,to develop the understanding and the connotation of using of Penglai legend.The paper singled out the Penglai legend from the varies Pre-Qin legends and historical records in the beginning .analised the basic connotation featuring of image of the ocean to the east and adults. Focused the different image of prominent West myths, the Queen Mother Magazine. And introduced another important element in Penglai legend - the activity of seeking the king.Particularly, Penglai legend is a Ghost Stories of a kind noteworthy in so many Stories of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, on the aspact of the characters ,Ghost Stories both inheritanced and riched the Penglai legend .This paper from the substantial works.such as "The Record of Things", "Ten Islands", and many other books analyzed the activities of seeking king,the System of An Qisheng the Muses Ghost of Penglai words and images Penglai in geographic Taoism, under the influence of Buddhism and Taoism, Penglai legend worded from all the essentials and completed the story mode changes which from the everyone to the angel .formed a subject of paradigm civilians immortality seekers and immortal solicitous, and played an important part in other systems of Taoism legend. In the third chapter, the author of Penglai legend seeked the various form of poetry in the Southern and Northern Dynasties .focused on analising the literature scholar of Cao Cao,Cao Zhi, Ji Kang, Ruan Ji, Guo Pu and so on ,to explore the impact of trends in society at that time, so how Penglai legend through aesthetic imagery, Images items into a generation of Poetry, to inherit and carry forward the opening up of Qu Yuan Immortals and lyrical writing style. And to develop into a new form of literature—poetry about immortals.The process of influencing the creating novels and poems on the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties is also the process of spreading its own. Shandong, as the birthplace of Penglai legend, played a direct impact to the evolution and dissemination of Penglai legend. Among them, the influence of Shandong literati in the political arena and the activities of Shandong alchemist played a decisive role, which will be analyzed in the fourth chapter of this paper from the three factors of spreading Taoist in Shandong , geographical humanities and the attitudes of creating fiction in Southern and Northern Dynasties .
