Study On The Air Force Construction Of Nanjing Kuomintang Government, 1927-1937

In the early 20th century, the emergence of the aircraft, which deeply affected the production and living of humans, greatly changed the pattern of wars and made the human warfare into a three-dimensional stage of the war. After the Nanjing Kuomintang Government was established, it had taken a series of measures to develop its aviation construction in order to promote the construction of the Air Force infrastructure and the personnel training constantly. This thesis attempts to systematically discuss the construction of the Nanjing Kuomintang Government Air Force in 1927-1937 in the following aspects.After the establishment of the Nanjing Kuomintang Government, with the rapid development of the strength faction in the internal parts of the air force, with the continuous growing in strength of the Communist Party of China, and with a strong military pressure from Japan, especially when the government lost the Songhu Campaign in 1932, a powerful air force was in an urgent need for the government to end the division and complete the unity at home and strengthen the national defense and defend the territory abroad .The Nanjing Kuomintang Government realized the importance of air space control, since the application of the aircraft in the war changed the pattern of warfare. In response to the appeal for national salvation from the public, aviation conferences were held and several plans were made. On the one hand, a number of aviation infrastructures were consrtucted, such as the construction of airfields, the establishment of aircraft manufacturing companies, repairing shops or other airport facilities, and so on. On the other hand, some aerial navigation schools, which trained aviation personnel, were set up to offer the human power support and the technical support.The Nanjing Kuomintang Government went graduately from strength to strength, with the later development and the force integration of some local strength, There are two basic characteristics in the development of the national air force: in transformation and integration.It's true that air combat between China and Japan in the Songhu campaign in 1937 is a strength competition. Because of this battle, the success of the air force construction is showed, but many related problems are revealed as well.
