There's no doubt that the teaching situations in our country are worring.Speaking of English study, both students and teachers are unhappy with the heavy learning pressure.Then how to make students interested in English study?As a matter of fact, experts have started the research on Happy English Teaching since 1980s because of the disadvantages of excessive pursuit of enrollment rate and heavy learning burdens.In view of this, the author of the paper tries to explore the connotations of HET and the factors that influence the teaching with her 10 year teaching experience. She also wants to explore the basic procedures of a happy English class,the main teaching methods, the common forms of activities and the commonly used teaching medias.This paper contains four chapters.The Preface introduces the purpose and significance of the research and the connotations of HET; Chapter One concludes the research achievements at all times and in all over the world;Chapter Two explains the theoretical basis;Chapter Three analyses the factors that influence HET; Chapter Four is the key part of the paper which talks about the construction of a happy English class.It contains four parts:the basic procedures, the main methods,forms of activities and the teaching medias.Among which the basic procedure is the innovation of the paper. According to the author's study, the procedures should include the open elicitation, the experience of success, the positive evaluation and the proper extension.The Conclution refers to the intergrated thinking. In this part the author clears some misunderstandings,points out some existing problems and pins high hopes on HET.Through this study, the author values highly on HET and is dertermined to carry on the study. Through this study, she hopes that the society pay more attention to students'needs,interests and feelings, that schools work from students'interests and be more supportive to HET, that teachers improve their education concepts and student views, that students take classrom as their paradise and study happily.This paper certainly has some inadequacies, such as little concern on students'after-class studies which is also an important part of HET. And given the author's one year teaching practice and the limited number of samples,the practical values remain to be seen.
