Research On Professional Structure Adjustment In Normal

Profession in higher educational institutions can achieve three important functions, such as talented people cultivation, scientific research and social services. Restructuring the Profession scientifically and rationally in normal universities is an important way to adapt to social needs and human development needs and to enhance the level of professional construction and talented people cultivation quality, to reflect the characteristics and features of running the school. However, the Professional Structure Adjustment has its particularity and complexity of the problems which have become a main bottleneck of the development of normal universities.On one hand, the professional structure adjustment has been influenced by external factors such as the planned economy transition to market economy, the development stage of transition from elite to mass higher education, the demand for teachers of basic education changed from the amount of expansion to qualitative improvement; On the other hand, the professional structure adjustment has also been influenced by a series of transition factors, teacher education transition to professional teacher education for instance. Combination of these factors brings opportunities to the professional structure adjustment in normal universities, but increases the difficulty of adjustment. This paper is focusing on Anhui Normal University as a case, by inquiry into its longitudinal and transverse types of historical society; the professional number not reduces but increases which cast more and more burden on school; content and structure of course lack in compatibility with the major; professional orientation of structural adjustment usually adapt to changes in passive ways; some related protection of resources are inadequate; convergence of specialty establishment.To solve these problems, normal universities should expand the vision actively, and establish objectives of the Structural Adjustment; take the scientific view as guidance structure to create an effective professional adjustment mechanism; some new majors, especially professional majors are added on the base of the social development needs, optimize the course structure, and pay attention to the development of dislocation at the macro, median and micro-level.To carry out all of these reform measures effectively, schools need to open up the origins and increase the school funding investment, enhance professional development targeted to achieve high quality sustainable development of school.
