In 2009, the General Administration of Sport of China presented the third set of Aerobics Training Standards which was divided into grade one to six, and grade one to three for children. In addition, it adds kickboxing, Latin-Aerobics, and Hip-Hop in different styles of motions. Thus, the motions of the third set are more professional, scientific, ornamental and comprehensive. The more reasonable arrangements of motions and the smoother linking of motions accord with the development trend of aerobics. In order to explore new teaching method and get better teaching effect, the present experiment teaches the third set of Aerobics Training Standards in employing the Reverse Teaching Method. It is different from the regular teaching method in terms of teaching order in the process of teaching. It is reflected that the teaching content which takes priority in teaching process will be practiced and repeated more times. The Reverse Teaching Method is or utmost significance in mastering technical motions and promoting the whole teaching process. Through careful observing and analyzing the two teaching methods, it is beneficial to provide a theoretical basis for judging the teaching effect of them. The present dissertation makes experiment in aerobics general course for PE majors in Langfang Teachers'College, and analyzes on the basis of literature review, teaching experiment, questionnaire, and statistics. It is concluded that the Reverse Teaching Method shows better teaching effect in students'confidence, smoothness of linking motions, accuracy of motions, harmony of body, and sense of rhythm than that of the Regular Teaching Method.Additionally, the Reverse Teaching Method provides better effect in virtuosity of aerobics technical motions, the full use of learning time, and memory effect of motions. In terms of the sense of rhythm and harmony of body, the two groups of male and female display differently. Skilled motions are the foundation of harmonious coordination of music and motion, and the music is beneficial to memorizing motions. They are complementary, and make the aerobics more expressive. The Reverse Teaching Method fastens the virtuosity of motions, and makes them more extended, harmonious and powerful, which is the main cause why the students in experimental class perform better than those in regular class in mastering the rhyme of music and harmony of motions in completing motions. In terms of accuracy of motions, the experimental class is better than the regular class, but the difference is not obvious because of the same teaching content. Either teaching method has the same requirement towards the teaching objective. Therefore, the difference in accuracy of motions is not obvious.Through 17-week teaching experiment, it is concluded as follows:1. In the learning process of aerobics technical motions, the data indicate that the students in experimental class perform better than those in regular class in confidence, coherence of motions, coordination of body, accuracy of motions, coordination of music and motion.2. From the statistics of wrong motions in teaching new content, the students in experimental class make fewer mistakes than those in regular class. It shows that the Reverse Teaching Method has obvious teaching effect to learning in fixed periods.3. Through investigating the self-identification and self-confidence of the two groups of students, it is showed that both of them improve respectively, but the students in regular class are slower than those in experimental class. Therefore, the Reverse Teaching Method is very useful in promoting the psychological identity of the students.
