State-owned commercial banks are the main part of china's banking sector in the national economy and our financial system,it is playing the role of the china's banking. As for the open of foreign banks and the expansion of commercial banks, state-owned commercial banks are faced with increasing vehemence of market competition.Banks are competing for the talents. With the development of information technology, the core of the bank to strengthen, IT consolidation of personnel into the development of key bank information, complex, versatile type of IT talent has become increasingly prominent role. However, for a long time, as the bank IT staff of human resource management is one important part of building, career management either ignored, or just the bud. A serious departure from the development of personnel development exists in the enterprise information planning. The low level of IT departmental management leads to staff motivation, enthusiasm and creativity to be poor. Banks need to promote the implementation of IT staff career management strategies.In this paper, the author want to study the theme of career management about the IT staff in state-owned commercial bank.The author collects and organizes a large, detailed data to show the status of bank IT staff career through interviews, questionnaires and other forms to pointed out the existence of many shortcomings. With the help of career management theory, he analyses the causes of the problem and clarifies the great significance to build a scientific management system. The strategies and recommendations to build a sound career management system for IT staff include: to create the conditions for career success,to motivate and guide staff by organizational career development path, to set the vertical or horizontal promotion, to stimulate the career potential of employees, to improve the efficiency of human resources,etc. Let IT staff of state-owned commercial banks make great contribution to informatization construction in the financial industry, establish enterprise core competitiveness and achieve sustainable, healthy development.
