Linxia City Economic Development And Pat Fong Hui Community

Bafang is located in the Hui community of Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province. Linxia developed its trading industry since the implement of the reforming and opening up policy. Wengzhou is well known in the eastern areas of China for its economic achievements, while Linxia shares the same reputation in the western areas. Linxia economy generally maintain the developing tendency over the last thirteen years, with the periods of falling into trouble after going through the Short-lived glory in Eighties, it revived in new century. Hui ehnic group has influenced by urbanization and modernization, which effect the spiritual level by means of traditional cultural heritage in Bafang meanwhile, it has also influenced the development of Linxia economy. After the year of 2000, Linxia depend on the specially-needed supplies of minority to revive economy. Therefore, it has some typical cases to analysis bafang, and a great reference to develop economy and culture of minority areas. The speed of urbanization of western areas has been accelerated by the development of the western regions, which also lead to changes of tradition residence and cultural patterns of many minorities. How can we modify economic patterns under the new situation, and the key is to find a new economic development way which is suitable for the consecutive development in minority areas. Only the strong minority economy could guarantee its own culture under the wave of modernization.This article divides into three parts. The first part describes the background of its topic, purpose, method and the current research and innovation of this article. The second part is an introduction on the history and current situation of economic development of Linxia. It depicts economy of Linxia since 1949. This article analysis some difficulties that encountered in ancient tea route by means of the tea industry of traditional industries since reforming and opening up. The third part stresses some influence brought by economic development in Bafang Muslim communities. Firstly, take the traditional costumes for example to introduce impacts on traditional culture of Hui ethnic group through traditional cultural changes and its conflicts. Secondly, it describes some influences that the traditional residence style affected by economy.Thirdly, impacts on development of economy imposed on the in Bafang Muslim communities.
