Predicament And Path: Research On The Tourism Community Participation In Ethnic Villages

Requiring community residents participate in all aspects of tourismdevelopment which is the core of community participation, and to realizetourism sustainable development of ethnic village. At present, the currentsituation of ethnic village tourism community participation in our countrythat resident participation way is unreasonable, participation in low leveland poor benefits, participation consciousness is weak etc. In recent years,the domestic scholars’ community participation research is focused ontheoretical research, a lack of empirical research support, and select someethnic villages to compare is less and less. In view of this, this articleselects Guangxi Ping’an Village, Guangxi Gan Yao community andGuangxi Cheng Yang Ma An Dong village as the investigation object,through interviews, questionnaires and statistics and other researchmethods. And use of stakeholder theory, relative deprivation theory andsocial exchange theory, conducts the contrast research from differentstages of community participation in tourism development, carries on thepreliminary discussion on the community residents’ participation system.The thesis consists of six chapters, is divided into three parts, thefirst part is the first chapter, including research background, origin andsome related concepts, literature review and research methods; the secondpart is the introduction for present situation of the community residentsparticipation in tourism development, is including second, three,four andfive chapter, and make a comparison, summary in their differentdevelopment pattern choice among the three communities. To point outthe limitations and benefits of three ethnic villages and the plight of thedifferent mode of development; the third part is the sixth chapter, and it concludes that perfecting the mechanism and the sustainabledevelopment.
